Walters Services is a locally-owned family business serving communities in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Learn more about our history, our story, and how we aim to serve you through our “extra-ordinary” service.

History

Walters Services Inc. is a family-owned business started by Fabe and Bev Walters in 1973. Fabe built a septic cleaning unit on a truck which cost $900. With Bev as secretary and dispatcher, they embarked into the small business arena. As young children, their kids learned to cope with the special demands of the service industry. Their sons and daughter realized at a young age that the company motto “Our service is the difference” truly meant that they would go out of their way to meet the needs of our customers. That tradition has been passed on to the next generation of the Walters family and drives all we do at Walters Services.

We are a company which loves people. Because this is true, we desire to give of our time and financial resources to care for those around us. At Walters Services, we have two major initiatives to support those within our company and our greater Central PA community.

Fabe & Beverly Walters Scholarship Fund

Walters invests in the children of our teammates by providing scholarship opportunities. Available for students pursuing college or trade school education, these scholarships are designed to help them continue to grow and achieve greatness in the future.

To remove any bias from the selections, the application and selection process is managed through the Foundation for Enhancing Communities. The application process runs from January 1 to April 1 each year. Candidates are required to fill out an application and write an essay.

Bethesda Mission

Walters Services is proud to support the work and ministry of Bethesda Mission, a ministry providing hope and healing to hurting and homeless people in the Greater Harrisburg area. Anyone from Walters who has gone on a tour has come away thoroughly impressed by the dedication of the staff of Bethesda Mission and touched by the needs of those around us.

As a company, we are just beginning our relationship with Bethesda, taking teams to visit their facilities so we can deepen our understanding of what they do and how we can best partner with them. We are excited to expand our relationship and support of Bethesda Mission as part of our mission to love people. This will give us the opportunity to make life better for many people and open doors that many thought would never be opened to them.

We also proudly provide services throughout the Washington, D.C. area and Virginia!
